Stitch Hub was born out of a capstone project in the Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation, at the University of Technology, Sydney. Our co-founder Lucy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 9 and after transitioning from paediatric treatment to adult care, found herself increasingly isolated from the support she’d recieved as a child.
Given the opportunity to work on a problem she really cared about, Lucy recruited friends Polina and Eliza and formed Stitch Hub. As an all-female company, they are united by the goal to make support simple for those living with chronic illnesses.

The Stitch Hub Team
I’m a driven design strategist and innovator who believes in using innovation as the means to create meaningful change. I’m passionate about the healthcare industry and have made it my mission to improve the care and support people receive in this space. I have an organised and passionate rhythm to the way I work because I’m working at the forefront of an industry I love. Our world is filled with things that solve one part of a problem or just simply create more. I believe that if we can explore a problem space and identify the ‘why’, we can create outcomes and strong conceptual approaches that make a real and profound impact.
Influenced by my background in media production, user design, social enterprise and complexity frameworks, I enjoy igniting both stimulated and controversial conversations to propel ideas, structures and people forward. I take pride in being able to strike a balance between the old and the new. Tradition, however engrained, is not always the best path forward. We cannot continue to blindly follow history, we have to create our own path and move forward to be better. In order to do just that society rules and structures need to be bent and tested. I want pioneer these steps to build a future facing the traditions and actions, which inspire diversity, sustainability and elasticity.
I am a creative strategist with a unique approach to inspiring meaningful change. I’m inspired by complex systems, and specialise in understanding the impact of innovation on all interconnecting parts. I love working at the intersect of deep operational understanding and future planning - encouraging and inspiring business leaders to understand the challenges and opportunities at play in their ecosystem. My value is the depth to which I dig to find actionable insights, no matter the field. Our world is plagued with ‘app fever’ - inventing something new for every challenge. But what we really need is better thinking, and to translate that thinking into changing outdated systems and principles that govern us.
I'm a freelance Full Stack Developer, UX designer, and team leader with a passion for educational projects. At UTS, I study a Bachelor of Science in I.T. coupled with a Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation. Together, this gives me the ability to solve complex problems in transdisciplinary teams while having the technical expertise to bring that solution to market. As the President of BCII Connect and a University Innovation Fellow at UTS, I use leadership and design thinking techniques to build a community around student led innovation at UTS. In these roles I work closely with staff and student leaders to effect meaningful change to the educational experience at UTS.
